SPRING 2025

TUESDAYS

Cooking: Breakfast Club  (K-6th)

In this session, the kids will get to learn all sorts of breakfast treats, ranging from super simple, to a delicious meal to get excited over! They will be breakfast champions by the end, being able to crack eggs without a second thought and how to be a baking pro. 

 

Chess (K-6th)

Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy (formerly Magnus Chess Academy), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. Acting Improv Adventures: Spring Edition (K-3rd)

In this class, young performers step into the spotlight with laugh-out-loud activities! Each season offers fresh experiences through lively improv games and interactive acting exercises, focusing on storytelling and imaginative exploration instead of traditional scripts. Participants will think on their feet while enhancing their communication skills, stage presence, and teamwork in the exciting world of improvisation. Parents are invited to join us for a special mini-performance during the final class.



WEDNESDAYS

LEGO®: Minecraft Engineering  (K-3rd)

Venture into the world of Minecraft in our unique LEGO® experience. Get ready to build your base, craft your tools, use your Minecart to harvest raw resources, and battle to stop the Ender Dragon from ending the world. Come explore the endless possibilities of LEGO® with a trained Play-Well instructor.

 

Ultimate Dance Fitness  (K-5th)

Kids in Motion students will dance, jump, run, and play the whole hour! Kids follow along with the teacher to songs and dances, play games that include limbo sticks, balloons, freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, dancing hot potato, follow the leader, and more! This is a dance fitness class using kid friendly songs, choreography, and dance games. This class helps children make friends, get active after school, and love dance fitness!

 

Minecraft Animation (3rd-6th)

Software: Mine-mator 

Skill Level: Beg.

In this class, older students will be introduced to basic 2D and 3D animation techniques using Minecraft characters and stages. Kids will expand their observation skills and imagination by studying motion in reality and how it influences motion in animation. Older students learn about advanced tools and techniques. Students will learn how animators work by completing a variety of short animation exercises and projects and applying basic acting theories and animation principles to scenes they create. THURSDAYS

Spy Science: Crime Scene Investigators  (K-6th)

How do detectives and investigators use science to solve a mystery? We will spend this program understanding forensic science and learning the tricks of the spy trade. We'll investigate fingerprints, spying techniques (surveillance), secret codes, invisible ink, and other sneaky science!

 

Volleyball (2nd-6th)

Our volleyball program is a perfect intro to one of the fastest growing sports in the area. We will work on fundamentals through play, keeping each day fun with games and drills that build strength and confidence, as well as learn about proper rotations and spatial awareness. Our goal is to get each player the most touches possible each day to ensure noticeable improvement and constant engagement. This program is for beginners as well as experienced players, and by the end of the session we hope to be able to play out competitive points. Everyone will have a blast with this great game!

 

Watercolor Wonders (1st-3rd)

This class introduces young artists to fun watercolor techniques using paint, markers and crayons. Each week students get to draw and paint real, and whimsical animals or birds using watercolor. While creating their art they will learn about the wonders of the natural world. This is a beginner level class suitable for artists of all skill levels. Students will get to bring home their artwork each week once dried. All supplies are provided.
